Our branch manager Terance Williams spent two years learning the business before being promoted to an Assistant Management position. After creating a positive experience with several clients, he was handpicked to manage a new campaign in the Maryland/DC market, prompting the birth of Vantage Consulting Inc on November 1, 2021.

New Adventure

We were excited about the opportunity to expand into a new market. However, the most significant challenge was becoming comfortable in a new environment. For example, we had to learn about a new client, product, and city all in one shot.

In addition, due to COVID-19, we had to become more careful with our practices by implementing social distancing protocols to ensure the safety of our staff and clients.

Trial and Error Approach

Despite the hurdles, we decided to dive right in and make ourselves familiar with the unfamiliar. Therefore, we focused on the more exciting elements associated with change rather than being concerned with the lack of certainty. Our trial and error approach proved successful, so we added it to our process.

  • Phase two: Leadership Position
  • Phase three: Assistant Manager
  • Phase four: Branch Manager

Our recruitment process has created many success stories over the years, which has enhanced our reputation. One project in particular that stands out was working with our first client.

After hearing what she needed, we thought it might be too much for our branch office. We also found out that other offices had visited her in the past but were unable to help.

Persistence Pays

In the end, the solution was pretty simple. It just took a little more time and effort, but we were willing to do whatever it took to get the job done.

The client was so happy with the result that she still regularly swings by to catch up and have lunch. She even sent over numerous decorative plants to help us to decorate our office, which was fondly appreciated.
